BOHO BEAUTIFUL aka GACHA ADDICTION FED

Sometimes a look comes together without effort.  Something sparks it and the next thing you know you are done.  Well black cowboy boots painted with colorful flowers did it for me.  I was at The Chapter Four which is a monthly sales event.  I often forget about all of the wonderful little sales markets you can find around the grid, but today I was reminded.  So off I run to see what is there.  I land and immediately am loving the hobbit hole style of the build.  I quickly look over the designers, but I know Chapter Four has those dang gacha machines. A gacha machine is in my opinion one the most wonderful and yet awful creations to come out of SL.  Goddess knows I have happily dropped thousands of lindens into designers pockets hoping for one item.  So like a gambling addict I almost run to the Gacha room.   I try to wait patently for the pictures to rez in and then ones does, before me are the cutest cowboy boots by Coco Designs.  I really wanted them!  I feed the machine and promise myself only once.  I wait and then the boots land in my inventory.  FIRST TRY!  To say I was happy is an understatement.  Now the rest of the room is rezzed in and I saw the fringed bag by Moon.  I had to see if I could get it in Midnight to match my boots.  Again I promise myself once and only once.  I feed the machine and I get a rare.  Dang it I did not want the rare!  I know everyone wants the rare but I really wanted the midnight bag.  So like all good addicts I say okay just once more.  I again feed the machine.  I stare at my inventory and there lands the bag I wanted!  I give a quick glance to the rest of the room and run home.  So there I was standing in my house naked and bald but I have on great pair of boots and matching bag!  Then it just happened.  I saw the outfit and was able to dig around in my closet and pull it together.  I admit I had a moment of self doubt, should I wear jeans or not! My original choice in shorts was reaffirmed and I just let it be.  So here it is raw shots and all.  For the record I am loving the Vali Shirt by Miamai this is the second time it has ended up in my blog!

BOHEMIAN ESSENCE

Completely inspired by this design I could not wait for Monica Outlander to release Miamai's Vali to bloggers for the Style Icon Event.  The premise of the event is to do a design that is inspired by a style icon.  The designers were given latitude in their choice of style icon. The style icon could be anyone who inspired everyone or just the designers themselves.  Now this is the part I love. Monica brought this event close to her heart and selected someone who inspires her both as an artist and as one of her personal heroes.  She chose Vali Myers.  Vali was a larger then life woman who embraced her own personal style.  She funneled her beliefs, her passion, and her life experience into her art work.  Vali Myers inspired designers, artists, photographers, and writers becoming an icon of the bohemian artist.  With the Vali release Monica captures Vali's spirit and the bohemian essence translating it into a casual but chic look, that encourages you to wear your hair a little messy, wear big rings, and dance with the wild abandonment life deserves.  I have to say that if this is a glimpse of what is to come from Monica and Miamai I am excited.  Monica has turned a corner in her creations channeling her intensity and artwork into her designs, in essence honoring Vali Myers to the core.

WINTER

Recently I was doing a hunt, I know big shock, when I landed at a store I have never heard of, Ever An' Angel.  The hunt was huge over 200 stores and I had been at this for days when I landed there.  When you get to a certain point in a hunt you really do stop looking at the items in the store, you find yourself focusing on finding the gift so you can just finish the stupid hunt.  It is why I am a firm believer that hunts should remain under 100 stores and even that is pushing how many should be involved.  So I land at yet another location, Ever An' Angel then promptly look up the hint.  I look back at my second life screen to get my bearings when I am hit in the face by a snowball.  What the heck?  You have my attention.  I hunted down the culprit to find a snowman placed perfectly to lob snowballs at new arrivals.  I laughed then started to work on the hunt but was very quickly distracted by a photo of a beautiful white coat.  So yes my shiny ADD kicked in, what, it was sparkly!  I am off in search of the coat.  Along the way I find the hunt gift, then another hunt gift, and an entire stack of group gifts.  I admit I got them all then sent the LM to my sister Shiloh, plus several friends so they could come see the designs.  Finally I focus and find the coat on the third floor I purchase the white version only to have the prims not match the mesh.  What?  I flip through my day setting making sure I was not stuck on something strange but alas I had to contact the designer.  Now I am telling you this because I want you to understand the level of customer service I received.  The designer landed in front of me, saw the problem, fixed the problem, and handed me a new coat in under 20 minutes!  She then had a pleasant conversation with me and pointed out the group gifts.  hmmm   So of course I am now not only pleasantly surprised with this store, I am impressed by the designer.  A serious look around clearly defined the style and needless to say I am in love.  So I decided to interview the designer Ever Courtois for my blog.  I will be finishing that interview soon and show you another amazing design from Ever An' Angel.   For now I had to share the object of my obsession, Ever An' Angel 2013 Winter Coat in Winter White.  It comes in two version one fully closed and a partially open. I love the partially open version because it really works well with my new Miamai Black Label Silk high boots in sequin.  You will appreciate how the prims move on this coat because they flow about you instead of being caught in a windstorm, and as you can see the flexi prims blend well with the mesh.  I also discovered that Ever An' Angel is a team of designers each creating and complimenting each other in their style.  But I will get into that more when I do the interview blog. Take the time to hunt down Ever An' Angel today.  You will not regret it.

I paired the coat with MIAMAI's Black Label Silk high boots in sequin and the Black Label Ardore Leggings in black, LeLutka's group gift Chill in powder, Glam Affair's Holiday group gift Mokatana in Petal, and finished with Maxis Gossamer Accessories - MG's  Pekkala's Moon Pentagram jewelry set and Ketama ring. The pose is by *PosESioN* for Kustom9 and is Deadly 10.
