4 Years... It is hard to believe that Monica Outlander has only had Miamai open 4 years. It seems longer and yet a blink of the eye. I will never forget the day Monica hired me to be one of her store models. It was the moment that changed my SL for me. My time with Miamai was so much fun. Helping all the customers and styling the new releases was a pleasure. It was so hard to stop modeling for Miamai. I missed my fellow models and the customers. I missed showing the world how beautiful Monica's creation are. Instinctively Monica knew I still wanted to help and she allowed me to blog her creations. It is amazing to be trusted to present her items to the world with no rules attached, trusted to do them justice on my own. It is with immense pleasure to be able to say Happy Anniversary Miamai and thank you. Thank you for the beautiful creations, the laughter, and the friendship. It is my fondest wish that you will have many more anniversaries, many loyal customers and above all else satisfaction in seeing us all bring your art to life. In true Monica style, to celebrate, she gives to us the Summer of Love edition of the Mahvi pants.

In 1967 the summer heated up and over 100,00 people converged on San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district and Berkley, the core of the hippi movement, this convergance of people happened all around the world as young adults threw aside the constructs of previous generations and lived how they wished to. That summer is seen as the pivotal moment when a shift accurd in the dynamics of american thinking and suddenly hippies came to the forefront. Creative expression, art, music, freedom of thought, and yes free love drove an entire generation and the ramifications of that summer are still reverberating through society today. It is as though Monica captured the soul of that summer, The Summer of Love. This edition of the Mahvi Pants, like their namesake are versitle and fun, great for pulling over the top of a favorite bikini or with a silk blouse. Throw on your big floppy hat, bangles, and leave your shoes by the door and step out into summer.
